We are embarking on new models of healthcare delivery in a number of specialty areas and facilities. To address these issues, new processes and structures are being developed to organize care around patients’ needs.  If new processes are to be successful, physicians, healthcare providers, and administrators must understand and commit to these new concepts. This course is designed to present the rationale for patient and family centered collaborative care (PFCCC) and demonstrate how this approach has already led to improvements in quality, safety, and efficiencies as well as staff, physician and most importantly, patient satisfaction.

The goal of this effort is to encourage the adoption of PFCCC concepts and ultimately improve every phase of healthcare delivery. We are building an Advisory Council and coalitions to develop this first of its kind symposium and workshop series to bring together all constituencies with a primary focus on developing physician and healthcare champions for PFCCC and Putting Patients First.
