At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, we asked our community: What Matters to You?

In the responses we received, we noticed that many individuals had questions about the effect of the virus on bone and joint health and total joint replacement surgeries. Many people expressed their health concerns and found difficulty sifting through information from online news reports.

To help our community stay connected and informed during this uncertain time, we launched a series of Tele-Town Hall Events on Facebook Live to talk about the impacts COVID-19 is having on bone and joint care, including surgical scheduling and making office appointments.

In this forum, participants have the chance to ask questions, share concerns, and get answers in real-time. Like the Bone and Joint Health Series, this new program is offered for free as a community education event.

What started as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic has evolved into an ongoing conversation with our community members.

Each week, we feature a different topic of focus and also encourage attendees to submit any questions they might have.

A few of the topics we have covered so far include:

  • Safe Weightlifting Tips for Joint Pain and Arthritis

  • Gender Differences in Osteoarthritis Prevention, Diagnosis, and Treatment

  • Establishing a Safe and Effective Yoga Practice in Spite of Bone and Joint Pain

Catch the replays of the FB Live events on our Vimeo page
